I'm Samuel Li
Sam’s diverse history in English writing coaching sees him in charge of the Beyond Writing Guide. In this program, he shares his knowledge, garnered through thousands of hours of teaching, strategising, and testing learning techniques. His developing background in education has lead him to teaching opportunities at every level, from early primary to tertiary, where he has coached both undergraduate and post-graduate students at the University of Melbourne. He began specialising in late-primary to early-secondary level English teaching at the start of 2021, realising that his messages were effective in bringing already high-achieving students further success, and he has since developed this curriculum for beginner to intermediate level English writing which focuses on consistency, accuracy and logic. Sam hopes to share the success that many of his private students have experienced with a wider audience.

'Sam is a fantastic tutor. He was my tutor for English in 2020, when my goal was to go to an American University.
He tutored both VCE English and SAT English/Math. Before starting tutoring with him, I was testing around 600/800 in my SAT Reading/Writing and Language practice exams. After tutoring with Sam, I achieved a 720/800, (49/52 for Reading section, 43/44 for Writing and Language) and a perfect score in Math. I'm Stanley Chen
Stanley is a dedicated educator and role model for all young students, making him the ideal head instructor for the Beyond Reading Guide. Being an avid reader himself, he strives to expose his students to the different perspectives and ideas in stories which are suited to their level. His background in studying English at a tertiary level allows him to impart high-impact information about critical thinking skills, reading strategies and even approaches to learning English as a whole. Reading has always formed a large part of Stanley’s English coaching curriculum, and he hopes to continue showing and guiding more young readers towards a brighter future in their literacy journeys.
